ESTABLISH THE PROBLEM OR ISSUE: You have a headache (or some other pain, whether emotional, physical or mental).

LOCATE IT: Locate the pain in your body, describe it well to yourself.

RATE IT: Check the intensity of your pain on a scale of 0 to 10, 10 being the most intense.

WRITE DOWN THE RATING: Be sure to do this, especially your first few times!

Say each Setup three times like this:
1. Even though I have this headache in my eye
I deeply and completely accept myself.
2. Even though I have this headache in my eye
I deeply and completely accept myself.
3. Even though I have this headache in my eye
I deeply and completely accept myself.

TAP from 1 to 9, as you say the gist of what your problem or issue is, like this:

1 - eyebrow point: this headache in my eye
2 - side of eye: this headache in my eye
3 - under eye:
this headache in my eye
4 - under nose:
this headache in my eye
5 - chin:
this headache in my eye
6 - collarbones:
this headache in my eye
7 - underarm:
this headache in my eye

RERATE YOUR INTENSITY, and if the pain is not gone, do another round saying:
Even though I still have this (3) headache
I deeply and completely accept myself.

TAP through the 7 points.

RERATE. Do this until you get to zero.
