Try this: as you think of your pain, allow your hands to move outwards from the zero
position, knowing they will automatically stop when they
get to the correct rating.
Check to see where your hands landed. Halfway out from your body is a 5, three-quarters
out is a 7 or 8, all the way is a 10, and so on!
Once again, this number is NOT a diagnosis! It is a reference point. You want to see where
you started, so that when you're done using this first EFT exercise,
you can see tangible proof of your results.
Make sure you write your first rating
number down.
